David Gill Gallery returns to Design Miami with a presentation where material innovation and sculptural imagination converge. Major works by Michele Oka Doner appear alongside new pieces by Mattia Bonetti, Saint Clair Cemin, Valentin Loellmann, Barnaby Barford, Sebastian Brajkovic, Chris Schanck, Sebastian Errazuriz, and Marcantonio Brandolini d’Adda. The installation unfolds as a meditation on reflection, opacity, tactility, and fluidity, moving between charred wood, embroidered upholstery, patinated and gilded bronze, mirrored foil, polished stainless steel, porcelain, glass, and acrylic. Anchoring the presentation are Oka Doner’s gilded bronze Chandelier and her ‘Radiant’ Table and Coffee Table, joined by Fredrikson Stallard’s geological ‘Study of Armour’ Cabinet and ‘Between Another Landscape’ Console, and the dynamic silhouettes of Brajkovic’s Banquette and Console ‘Shanty’. Works by Zaha Hadid, Barford, and Schanck deepen the exploration of surface, reflection, and distortion, while Loellmann’s hand-shaped furniture introduces a softened, organic equilibrium.

The presentation continues with Bonetti’s bold bronze Bonbon Round Side Table and gilded Mirror Omelette, paired with the sinuous ‘Cassiopeia’ Coffee Table. Errazuriz’s allegorical candlesticks and Cemin’s surreal candelabra bring a narrative dimension, while Barford’s radiant porcelain, Schanck’s shifting mirrored surfaces, and Brandolini d’Adda’s Venetian glass ‘Totems’ and jewel-toned vases introduce chromatic shimmer and material delicacy. Across the installation, monumental forms meet fluid gestures, creating an evolving dialogue between texture, scale, and light, an encounter where diverse approaches to form and material coexist.
